US-based Ghanaian musician and songwriter Whitney Dee has revealed the reason why she quit been in the US army so she can pursue her music career full time.
The ex-military woman revealed during an interview with Foster Romanus on Etv that she was with the US Army for 4 years but decided to switch careers after she realized she had a passion for music and needed to pursue it full time.
According to her, she was due a promotion to become a sergeant but was told that she was having some serious health condition which has affected her back and should not continue in the army.
She further revealed that she has been doing music since she was 14 years of age but decided to join the army so she can be able to save some money which she can rely on should in case she wanted to enter into the music industry.
Whitney further revealed that she misses handling all the ammunition and keeping accounts of the weapons since she was in the supply and logistic department.
