Asante Agogo Zongo Elders Reject Ramadan Donation From MP Over Failed Promises
ISLAMIC Elders and Youth of Asante Agogo, a suburb in Kumasi, have rejected Ramadan donations from their MP and DCE for the following tangible reasons.
As the ISLAMIC calendar for fasting ends in a few days, MP for Asante-Akim North Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Andy Kwame Appiah-Kubi and the District Chief Executive visited the Islamic Community in the constituency but were not warmly received.
According to sources closer to Gossips24.com, the said MP and his DCE presented bags of rice, milk and other food stuffs to the elders of Agogo Zongo to aid in celebrating Ramadan.
Surprisingly, the youth of the community with the support of their elders rejected all the items donated by the MP.
It appears the MP has failed to deliver his promises, but came around to compensate and sweet-talk them with bags of rice.
Unfortunate for him, his politricks didn’t work today and was rejected by his own people.
The Asante Agogo Zongo youth have opinionated that they are not going to be taken for a ride come 2020 since predecessors and current MPs regard them as fowls and not humans.
