Ghanaian Arrested At Kotoka International Airport Trying To Smuggle Over 2,400Kg Gold Bars To Europe

A Ghanaian has been arrested at the Kotoka International Airport trying to smuggle gold out of the country.

Per what we gathered from the official at the airport, some sets of nicely packaged parcels were reported to have been intercepted when the man was about to check-in

It became suspicious so these officials decided to verify what he was carrying so when one of the parcels was opened, it was noticed that it was filled with numerous gold bars wrapped like chocolate.

The culprits, however, in this smuggling case are yet to be identified by the media. This adds up to various mineral smuggling cases to hit the country. The situation is now at an alarming stage since the state is trying to figure out ways to curb such menace.
