Two persons have been arrested in connection with the murder of undercover journalist with Tiger Eye PI, Ahmed Hussein-Suale.
The two were arrested in separate swoops. While one is still being held and interrogated by BNI officials, Kotobabi police are believed to have granted the other bail.
This was revealed by the Brong Ahafo Regional First Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe alias Abronye DC.
He disclosed on NET 2 Television on Wednesday followed by MyNewsGh.com that one of the suspects is currently in the custody of the Bureau of National Investigations BNI while the other was released by the Kotobabi police after he managed to use money to influence his way.
“Are you aware that the police patrol team arrested one of the suspects in connection with the death of Ahmed Suale? When they took him to the Kotobabi police station he was released within 30 minutes in collusion with some officers. The one who pulled the trigger is currently in BNI cells. I am daring them to come out and deny it”, he revealed.
According to him, the one who was released works with ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas calling for investigations into how he could be released on bail when he is linked to the murder.
Security Expert and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Security Warehouse Limited, Adam Bonaa is of the conviction that highly trained assassins were contracted to carry out the murder of undercover journalist.
He disclosed on an Accra-based radio station mynewsgh.com monitored that the manner in which the act was committed points to the fact that someone who has been trained in the military or security services could have perpetrated the act.
According to him, he would be very shocked if the culprits are arrested and it turns out that they are not security persons or have not undergone some serious security training arguing that the precision in which the murder was done reinforces his point.
“This particular killing, I will be surprised if the persons when arrested have not gone through military or security training at all”, Mr Bonaa stated in the interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com.
Ahmed Hussein-Suale who played a key role in the investigative piece of Anas’ Number 12 that bothered on corruption in football was reportedly shot three times, twice in the chest and another in the neck Wednesday night at Madina a suburb of Accra.
The unidentified men were said to be riding a motorbike. He was rushed to the police hospital but confirmed dead on arrival and his body deposited at the morgue of the same facility.
Reacting to news of his death, Anas posted a video in which the Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong was issuing threats and wrote “Sad news, but we shall not be silenced. Rest in peace, Ahmed.
