Gossips24.com has sighted a throwback video of the popular ‘Ghana Must Go’ story.

In 1983, the then president of Nigerian Shehu Shagari gave an executive order that saw a large number of West Africans especially Ghanaians migrating out of Nigeria back to their Ghana.

This issuance was directed to immigrants in Nigeria without the necessary certification and immigration documents.

This condition was what gave birth to the ‘Ghana Must Go’ phrase.

Ghanaians who migrated in the process were seen in loading their belongings in jute bags which was popularly termed as ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag even till now.
