The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has officially released provisional results of the 2019 Basic Education Certificate Examination.
According to a release by the examination body, nearly two thousand five hundred (2,500) subject results have been withheld pending the conclusion of investigations into alleged examination malpractice. The results, the release adds, “will either be released or cancelled as soon as the Council concludes its investigations.”
The entire results of 19 candidates were also cancelled after the candidates brought mobile phones into the examination hall while One hundred and seventy-three (173) candidates had their subject results cancelled for bringing foreign material into the examination hall.“>
