The Rivers State University Teaching Hospital’s Association of Resident Doctors has called off its seven-day solidarity strike, instructing doctors to return to work.
Doctor George Ella, President of the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital branch of the group of resident doctors, said the decision was made after an emergency congress he convened.
According to him;
“There has been a week-long engagement with the Rivers State Government”, adding that the “legislative processes to the domestication of the medical residency training act has started among others demands”.
The ARD President assured River State’s inhabitants of good health service delivery, emphasizing that the resumption “has immediate effect.”
