Governor Nyesom Wike has issued an approval for both public and private nursery and primary schools in Rivers State to go back to school on November 23.
The schools which were closed in March as a result of the outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus, will resume for the first term of the 2020/2021 session. This will be in line with the August timetable that was published.
This announcement was made by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Chidi Adiele, on Tuesday, November 17.
“All headteachers, proprietors and other concerned persons should take all necessary steps to ensure safe and hitch-free resumption. The resumption shall be in line with the extant COVID-19 protocols”, He added.
