Ofori Amponsah is mentioned as one of Ghana’s best musicians of all time and gave the world a lot Highlife Hits but somewhere along the line he decided to take take a long break from doing Highlife music to pursue a Christian Life and started a church.
Halfway through what looked like a fulfilling life in Christ, he decided to take a U-turn and is back to what he is known for.
When asked about why he stopped doing music, Osofo Alewa revealed that, he quit music because his closests friend and his fiancee disappointed him and that affected him greatly.
“i was really affected and was in indoors for months, i wasn’t able to even write songs” he said.
When touching on his come back he indicated that, he returned to his old ways because of the hypocrisy among Ghanaian pastors.
