Former Black Stars player, Michael Essien has incurred the wrath of Ghanaians after declaring his heavyweight support for the Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) groups in Ghana.

Michael Essien a few hours ago declared his support for the LGBTQ group and urged to continue fighting for their rights.

He posted; “We see you, we hear you, we support you. Our LGBTIA community in Ghana.”

Thus, checks made by our outfit can’t trace the post under discussion as it’s nowhere to be found on the verified Instagram page of the celebrated Ghanaian retired-footballer.

Further checks conducted by Gossips24.com reveal the footballer has been stuck at 1.4 million followers since January 2021.
