The dream of every young lady who is married is to have a very pretty child to call her own and proudly show to the world as she adorns him or her with all the goodies she can afford but that cannot be said to be the case of a young lady who gave birth to a baby who keeps aging each day.

Mother of the child Ongeziwe Mtshobi who spoke to reporters about the baby revealed that her child whose name was Onesipho meaning ” the gifted one” didn’t leave up to his name as he has brought her more shame than honor.

Ongeziwe who is now mentally challenged added that she gave birth to her child 2 months ago at her home in Libode, Eastern Cape but later realized her daughter had a medical condition called Progeria or Hutchinson-Gilford progeria syndrome (HGPS) and is caused by a mutation (change) in the lamin (LMNA) gene.

Grandmother of the child whose name is Ntombizakhe Mtshobi, 55 years of age who also spoke revealed that she has never seen such a baby who looks older than her age before and now they are the laughing stock of the village where they live as people have started pointing hands at them with some going to the extreme of laughing and hooting at them.
