Oliver Barker Vormawor who was arrested by police after embarking on a Galamsey protest has finally been granted a bail of ghc20k.
The lead convenor of Fix The Country was arrested along with 53 others who were part of the demonstration for the country to be fixed.
Accra high court today 16th October, 2024 ordered for him to be given bail on a bond of GH¢20,000 with two sureties.
Justice Comfort Tasiame who presided over the case earlier denied him bail on the grounds that he had commit treason and a bail could lead to the distraction of investigation and fears of civil disturbance if he was released.
He was arrested on the grounds of removing the car keys in a police car that was packed during the demonstration.
