Shalimar Abbiusi the spokesperson of the New Force Movement headed by Nana Kwame Bediako popularly known as Cheddar has won the court case against Ghana.
Shalimar who was arrested by the police for obtaining a student residency permit by false declaration.
She was placed before court after her arrest in December 2023 had a very had time with her parents coming out to speak about the treatment her daughter was receiving whiles police custody.
Well in the latest update, the ECOWAS court has declared as unlawful the arrest and subsequent detention of the spokesperson of the New Force Movement, Shalimar Abbiusi.
The new force in a statement shared after the courts judgement stated saying;
Despite the State Prosecutor dropping all charges against her Ms. Abbiusi was unlawfully detained and faced immediate illegal deportation, highlighting a troubling pattern of abuse of power by government officials aimed at suppressing political dissent.
“The court has ruled that the rearrest and illegal deportation of Ms. Abbiusi was in violation of Article 6 of the Liberty of People and has mandated compensation from the Ghanaian government,
