VGMA 2019 Rapper of the Year, Samuel Adu Frimpong, aka Medikal is somehow shying away from the competition to stay in his own league as he makes a shocking revelation.

Popular Chinese Author, Sun Tzu in his ‘Art of War’ highlights the need for one to monitor the moves of his enemies/competitors, know their weaknesses, and use it to his/her advantage.

Doing so will help you as an individual know how to choose your battles, and go about things within your field. However, Medikal has decided to turn a blind eye to the people he is competing for the best rapper spot with.

In an interview with George Quaye Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, MDK, as he is known, claimed he does not listen to other rappers’ songs not even songs from the likes of Sarkodie, EL, Manifest, and Strongman apart from himself.

“I don’t listen to any rapper right now. I don’t know how they sound like or how their music is now. I just listen to myself because I want to be better,” he told George Quaye.

He added that he feels he is good at what he does and obviously other rappers are good as well.

“I won’t make someone else look bad and raise mine because everybody thinks about himself first,” he said.
