For the past days, Nigeria has not known peace especially in Lekki, a suburb of Lagos.
Since the Lekki tollgate bloodshed, Ghanaian celebrities started mounting unnecessary pressure on President Akufo-Addo to speak on the issue since he is the ECOWAS chairman.
Female celebrities like Efia Odo, Sandra Ankobiah, Lydia Forson among others called out Nana Addo for what they claim as late intervention.
Out of pressure, President Akufo-Addo spoke on the on-going bloody protests in Nigeria.
In a series of Twitter posts, he said he has already spoken to Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari on the processes of reform.
Akufo-Addo further expressed his condolence to the victims of clashes, insisting violence is not the answer.
However, to our surprise, the Nigerians rained insults on him for his choice of words in his tweet.
This sort of hostile reception that has greeted the solidarity message by Ghana’s president has got on the nerves of many netizens who are blaming Yvonne Nelson and Nana Aba Aanamoah for being the cause of what we are currently experiencing.
