The 24-hour curfew imposed in the Oyigbo Local government area has been eased by Governor Nyesom Wike.
The curfew had been imposed earlier as a result of the violence that accompanied the endsars protests resulting in killings and property destruction.
The curfew ease will take effect from tomorrow November 4 and will be from 7pm to 6am and not 24 hours anymore.
The statement released by the governor contained the following;
”The Rivers State Security Council met today & reviewed the curfew in Oyigbo LGA. From Wednesday November 4th, the curfew in Oyigbo LGA will be from 7pm to 6am Effort to recover over 50 riffles stolen from burnt Police stations and killed security personnel would be maintained.”
