Ghanaian businesswoman who is also the Founder and leader of Ghana Freedom Party, Madam Akua Donkor, has slammed critics who roast some officials of the Ghana police service for taking bribes from trotro and taxi drivers.
Sharing her sentiments on the issue of bribe amongst some police officers, Madam Akua Donkor critically opined that, 1 cedi and 2 cedis from drivers is not a crime and should not be pinned as an offence.
She said:
That is not bribed, people take a lot of money in Ghana as a bribe but police take GHS1, GHS2 and you call it to bribe. Something is worrying those who think that is a bribe. They should continue taking the money. Nothing is wrong with it.“
