A Nigerian woman has been arrested in a Lagos suburb for allegedly feeding her 13-year-old maid with human faeces, according to a report by PMNewsNigeria.
The woman’s son also sexually molested the minor. He too has been arrested by officials of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Lagos Zonal Command.
Both mother and son were arrested at Okota, in Isolo area of Lagos. They face a charge of child abuse.
NAPTIP was tipped off about the ordeal of the hapless girl, the Zonal Commander, Mr Daniel Atokolo, said, according to a report by Persecondnews.
“I want to assure members of the public that the suspects will be duly prosecuted to send signals to others that think that house helps are lesser human beings,’’ he said.
