Wendy Shay was born to Mr & Mrs. Addo in Accra, a suburb of the Greater Accra Region Of Ghana. She hails from Kwahu, Ghana.
After the death of her father, She relocated to Stuttgart, Germany with her three siblings- a sister and two brothers. Wendy’s passion for music developed shortly after losing her father at the age of 5.

Before Wendy will go abroad, She attended Morning Star School and later St. Martin De Porres junior high school. The latter is a private co-educational learning institution in Dansoman in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.
In Germany, she continued her education from Grade 7 or Jhs 1. She completed her learning in the country and went on to train as a nurse. Wendy also attended music school in the German municipality of Burghausen.

Wendy Shay is a trained Nurse by profession, worked as a Midwife in the clinical field. She was practicing midwifery until she relocated to Ghana to pursue her music career.
She was introduced to music by Rufftown Records Manager Bullet and signed in January 2018 after the untimely death of label mate Ebony Reigns. On 1 June 2018, Wendy Shay released her debut single “Uber Driver”, produced by MOG Beatz.
The musician signed a five-year deal with Rufftown Records. Rufftown Records is a record label founded by Bullet, a Ghanaian musician, songwriter, and artist manager. After agreeing to join the company, Wendy Shay released her first single titled Uber Driver. Her fans received it with mixed reviews, with many praising it for its simplicity and style.
