A thirty years old visually impaired menzgold customer named Stephen Aboakye has taken to social media to beg for his funds after loosing all his investment to the Ponzi scheme and has started loosing his sight.
According to the man who invested GH106,000 into the scheme, he was convinced by a friend at work to venture into that investment.
“A colleague informed me about it; he said this is what has entered the system, and he purchased his car through it, so I should do my hardest and do like six months and see what happens,” he lamented.
He went on to say that “I then went to my banks, Commercial and Access Bank, and withdrew all of my money to go and buy the gold chips at Menzgold to invest in,” he stated when questioned if he didn’t have any doubts about Menzgold.
“I am someone who studies things,” he told JoyNews’ Joseph Ackay-Blay, “but because I saw him working at GFA and he also went to visit the President, Nana Addo, I was satisfied his business was legitimate.”
