THE TWENTIETH EDITION OF THE VODAFONE GHANA MUSIC AWARDS will see light tonight and one of the awards that many are looking forward to is the ARTISTE OF THE YEAR.
The red carpet commences at 7:30pm and the main event at 8:00pm at the AICC, Accra.
Organizers revealed earlier that the legendary Amakye Dede will perform alongside Diana Hamilton, Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, Samini, Kuami Eugene, 2018 BET nominee, Kwesi Arthur and King Promise.
Others performers from Africa include Nigeria’s Burna Boy, South Africa’s Cassper Nyovest.
The winners of the various categories will be announced tonight by the organizers of the event.
The most talked about category currently is the Artiste of the Year category which has the hottest artistes from 2018 all in there as nominees, which includes the 2018 artiste of the year, Joe Mettle.
Many tipped Kuami Eugene to be crowned the Artiste Of The Year Winner at the start of the campaign but that ‘noise’ seems to have minimized.
Lately, Shatta Wale, Sarkodie and Stonebwoy, all on the list seem to be aiming at being crowned Artiste Of The Year Winner at the 2019 VGMA.
