VGMA 2019: Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year Winner

VGMA 2019 is here, and today, 18th of May is the day set for the prestigious awards that comes off at exactly 8pm, at the AICC, inside Accra.

The event will see performances from top flight artistes in Ghana and Africa, according to organisers, Charterhouse.

With this, top Reggae/Dancehall artistes in Ghana will mount the stage and thrill fans with there back-to-back hits.

This year’s VGMA, will include Ghana’s self acclaimed Dancehall King, Shatta Wale, as he makes his return to the award scheme and event after reconciling with CharterHouse.

That in mind, many have tipped Shatta Wale to be crowned the Dancehall Song of the year winner at this year’s VGMA.

The category is one of much interest to Ghanaians because both Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy seem to have invested much into winning something at this year’s edition.

Not forgetting Samini who also made it to the list with his 2018 hit song, My Own. ‘Underdog’ Macassio, is also in that category with his song, Dagomba Girl which features Mugeez of R2bees.

Tonight is the night that Ghana get’s to know who is the real dancehall king of Ghana, as we wait for the Reggae/Dancehall Song of the Year winner, here are the nominees and their songs.
