The Police in Ogun State have arrested two young men for allegedly kidnapping and gang raping a 14-year-old girl.
The suspects, identified as Michael Hammed Azeez, 20 and Adeola Ogunseye, 22 were arrested on November 4, 2020 following a complaint lodged at Owode Egba divisional headquarters by the victim’s mother.
According to the mother of the victim, the suspects abducted her daughter on November 3 at about 8:30 pm and took her to an unknown hideout where they took turns to forcefully have carnal knowledge of her.
It was further learnt that the rape victim was later found seriously battered along school road, Owode Egba in Obafemi Owode Local government area of Ogun State.
Following the complaint, the DPO of Owode Egba division, CSP Mathew Ediae mobilized his detectives to the area where the two suspects identified by the victim were apprehended. Torn panties of the victim were seen and recovered from the scene of the crime.
The Commissioner of Police for Ogun State, CP Edward Ajogun has ordered the transfer of the suspects to the state CIID for further investigation and prosecution.
