Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, vice president of the Republic of Ghana has publicly communicated that trotro passengers will soon pay their transport fares through mobile money, Gossips24.com reports.
“Digital” Bawumia disclosed this information in the course of an exclusive on-air interview on Peace FM’s “Kokrokoo” segment with Kwame Sefa Kayi on Tuesday, August 25, 2020.
As categorically stated by the veep, Ghana is the only country in Africa doing a Mobile Money Interoperability which is plus for the Akufo lead administration.
Dr Bawumia additionally revealed that the government is currently building a central Quick Response (QR) code to merge all the telecom networks to ensure that transactions are done universally across the nation.
