Multiple award-winning actress, Jackie Appiah has opened up only how she made millions of cedis from acting in neighbouring country, Nigeria.
The actress, who was a guest on UTV and Nana Ama McBrown’s hosted United Showbiz, indicated that acting in Nigeria back in the day was very good.
According to the Princess Tyra actress, the least she was paid to star in a Nigerian movie was $5000 or the equivalent of GHC25,000.
She stated that some Nigerian producers paid about five times the $5000—which was the lowest.
According to her, Ghanaian actresses/actors loved to go and work in Nigeria because the producers paid them more than their Ghanaian counterparts.
After they started collecting such huge amounts, Jackie said they asked the Ghanaian producers to increase the payment and some of them started paying.
