VIDEO – Here Is Why Charterhouse Didn’t Feature Stonebwoy & Shatta Wale On VGMA 2019 Theme Song

As we mark the 20th anniversary of the prestigious annual music awards ceremony here in Ghana, organizers of the awards scheme Charterhouse, has unveiled the theme song for the 2019 VGMA.

As announced by Charterhouse earlier, the song was released on Friday, 12th April 2019, almost a week to the event itself.

The official theme song for the 2019 VGMA has Joe Mettle, Adina, Kidi, Teephlow, Kuami Eugene and Amandzeba and was produced by Kaywa.

To many who have wondered why the reggae-dancehall artistes weren’t featured on the song, music producer of the official theme song, Kaywa, has explained why.

According to him, they wanted something that will be the true representation of Ghana. He added that hiplife, highlife and gospel are genres that are Ghanaian friendly, hence the reason behind the unfortunate sidelining of the reggae-dancehall artistes.
