Stonebwoy has finally offered the general public some explanation as to why he decided to a licensed a gun to the VGMA 2019.
According to Stonebwoy, he brought the gun because of threats he had received prior to the event on various social media platforms. He explained that people had been sending threats of assault and that he wanted to just protect himself.

The pulling of the said gun occurred when Stonebwoy was announced as the winner of the Reggae Dancehall Artist if the year and he mounted the stage to pick his award, Shatta Wale followed him on stage.
