Protestors alleged to have attacked soldiers at Lekki toll gate
An account on the incident that took place at the Lekki Toll gate has been rendered by an eye witness who is non other than Brigadier-General AI Taiwo.
According to he officer he and his troops were assigned by the Governor of the state to curb the ongoing violence by the youth in the town who planned to commit arson and other vandalism activities.
The commander added that the protestors went out of control and threw bottles and stones at them with the intention of causing harm to the peace keepers.
He later went on to say that the presiding commander of the peace keeping troops ordered his men not to shoot at the protestors no matter the level of violence and instability.
