Sister Derby cancels interview with Joy FM; likely to drag them to court

Ghanaian songstress, Deborah Vanessa alias Sister Derby has canceled her interview with Joy FM and it’s likely she will be taking the radio station on.

Sister Derby on Friday October 23, 2020, revealed a reporter from Joy FM breached her privacy by recording a private conversation they had to produce their show this Morning.

Derby in a statement shared on her social media pages noted that she did not expect the disrespectful and appalling act from a firm like Joy FM looking at how experienced they are in the field.

She explained that she’s invited by Victor Brachie of Joy FM for an interview which was to come off this morning. However, Victor, without seeking Derby’s consent recorded their conversation and used it to pre-produce his show ahead of Derby’s interview with Joy FM this morning.

Upon walking into the studios of Joy FM this morning, Derby heard her voice notes from their private conversation edited and being aired live. She was left with no option than to walk out from the studios of Joy FM.

Others like Mr Eazi who reacted to Derby’s post advised her to take the issue to court.

Lydia Forson also shared a similar experience in-line with Derby’s saying; “Wow!! They called me too and I’m glad I wasn’t available.

Someone did this same thing to me some weeks ago, after a private conversation he wrote and article about it. Luckily I got a hint before.

And people wonder why we stay away from interviews, when these same people are the ones who post misinformation online to attract bullying!”
.

As to whether Derby will take Joy FM and Victor on, only God can tell, but there’s a possibility that she will do so!
