Shiashie-Accra: Three armed robbers shot dead by Ghana Police

SHIASHIE – The Ghana Police Service has gunned down three armed robbers in a crossfire shootout at Shiashie bus stop, Accra.

The armed robbers were involved in a foiled robbery in the area on Monday morning and quickly fled the scene.

Eye-witnesses say they went to sit at the Bus Stop off the Accra-Adenta bound section of the Highway near Kingdom FM, pretending to be waiting for a bus in order not to raise suspicion.

Some police personnel wearing mufti in an unmarked vehicle spotted the robbers and trailed them to their resting point in an attempt to arrest them.

The armed suspects engaged the police in a crossfire from a distance resulting in the death of three of the robbers.

Two were however arrested with the whereabouts of one suspect remains unknown.
