Dancehall act, Shatta Wale is still mad with the alcoholic ban imposed on Ghanaian celebrities by the Food And Drugs Authority (FDA).
This was triggered by Adonko’s move to sign Nigerian celebrities to advertise their products on DSTv.
Shatta has been loud on this issue since it came in the open all because of FDA’s regulations.
In a new video he posted on Facebook, Shatta Wale averred his colleagues in the music industry are not seeing the long implications of the ban.
He revealed endorsements and ambassadorial deals go a long way to benefit artists and celebs who get signed.
Here is what Shatta said;
“Some of us don’t have [a] problem. I will only say this because I want to educate most of the artistes. Most of the people don’t see it this way. Some think it’s about women and showing off.
Why don’t we come together and demonstrate. We are always talking about ‘supporting your own’ but if we charge and march to their [FDA] office in unity then from there we move to the Flagstaff House asking the government to lift the ban”
Adonko wants to sign Ghanaian artistes too… We should let the government know how we need this business to happen. Some of you don’t know how lucrative ambassadorial deals are. People are paying attention to other things than what matters and it’s bad,” Shatta concluded.
