Popular Ghanaian reggae and dancehall musician, Shatta Wale, has appealed to his fans and music lovers in the country to vote massively for him in order to win the Artiste of the year category at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs).
The Zylofon Music record label signed artiste made this pronouncement at the 2019 VGMA Nominees’ Jam held at the Kumasi City Mall on Saturday April 6, 2019.
Midway through his performance, he paused and pleaded with the patrons to cast their votes in his favour since it been long he won VGMA Artiste of the year.
He also added that he will be happy to win the highly coveted award and promised the audience to celebrate with them if he wins.
Shatta Wale is competing for the Artiste of the year category with his Kuami Eugene, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, and Joe Mettle.
The 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards has been slated for Saturday May 18 at the A.I.C.C.
