Ghanaian musician Maradona Adjei Yeboah who is known in the music industry as Guru has gained widespread acclaim after news broke out that he was standing for the position of an SRC president at the university of Ghana (UG).
The musician whose dream was to follow in the steps of his senior colleague in the music industry Samini had his dreams shattered after he was disqualified from the race.
According to an official statement released by the office of the electoral commission of the student representative council (SRC) revealed that Guru did not meet some of the requirement to stand as an SRC president.
The statement revealed that neither Guru and his vice Lawrence Edinam Egleh met the residential status required to run for office, leading to their immediate disqualification.
