Speaking in an interview with IFoster Romanus on ETV Ghana’s Late Nite Celebrity Show, Jay James opposed claims of exiting Bullet’s Ruff Town Records because of money issues.
According to Ray James, he and Bullet were cool until his boss suggested to him that he must try his possible best to always make it into the news for the bad bad and ugly in order to garner massive attention for himself which will make the promotion of his work very easy.
The promising act indicated that he didn’t want his career to revolve around controversies hence he was left with no other option than to walk out.
I wanted people to concentrate on my music, not on the misunderstandings. Also, with how everything happened, it just felt that it wasn’t the right place for me
