PSG defender, Jean-Pierre Adams dies after been in coma for 40 years

Former France defender Jean-Pierre Adams died on Monday at the age of 73, over 40 years after collapsing due to a medical error, according to his former teams, Paris Saint-Germain and Nimes.

Adams was given a near-fatal dose of anesthesia before a routine knee operation in 1982, which resulted in brain damage.

“One of PSG‘s most illustrious former players has passed away. PSG extends its heartfelt condolences to his family and friends” In a statement, the Ligue 1 club said.

Adams, who was born in Dakar, had 22 caps for Les Bleus in the 1970s.

This morning, we learned about the death of Jean-Pierre Adams. He played for Nimes on 84 occasions and alongside Marius Tresor, he formed the “Black guard” in the French national team,” the club wrote on Twitter.
