Renowned journalist, Kofi Bartels, has accused the police in Rivers State, Nigeria, of being responsible for the loss of his friend’s unborn baby.
Mr. Bartels, host of The Morning Crossfire on Nigeria Info FM, Port Harcourt, in a string of tweets on Thursday alleged that officers enforcing the lockdown in the state temporarily detained the pregnant woman.
According to the popular Nigerian journalist, the officers said the governor instructed only those with a government permit to be allowed passage – resulting in the pregnant woman losing the baby.
Bartels is appealing to Governor Nyesom Wike to have a second look at the criteria governing the passage of people.
