Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan has thrown shades on Ghanaian actor turned politician John Dumelo over his contest for the seat in her constituency in the upcoming December elections.

Hon. Lydia Alhassan stated in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Anopa Nkomo on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7 that her opponent, John Dumelo only exists on social media.

She said;

“Politics is not about pushing trucks in the community and putting it on social media to get 1m views, most of the people are not even in the constituents some are Afghanistan and Iraq.

Politics is about what you do for the grassroots and youth in the Constituency,”

You would recall that Dumelo, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency joined a host of others to clean the gutters and drains in some parts of the Constituency.

Hon. Lydia Seyram Alhassan said she has presented 11 vehicles to electoral areas in her constituents to help relieve the financial burden in the facilitation of party assignments.
