The late Sir John’s popular phrase “fear delegate” will always be used when internal elections for political parties in Ghana are held.
The general elections of the ruling New Patriotic Party were held on Saturday, the 16th of July, 2022, and the unexpected defeat occurred after John Boadu, who has been the party’s general secretary for about 8 years now, lost to Lawyer Justin Kodua.
However, according to reaching Gossips24.com, prior to the election, John Boadu distributed an amount of 30,000 cedis to be shared among all deletes in every region, which is 4.6 million cedis for the 16 regions in total.
The money did not yield any positive results as some delegates complained of John Baide=u being too rude and not attending to them when they called for help.
The voted in general secretary, Justin Kodua, defeated John Boadu with 300 votes.
