It appears the 8th parliament is going to be the most effective parliament in the history of Ghana politics as NPP MPs arrived at Parliament today at exactly 4am.

On the eve of the dissolution of the 7th parliament in order to make way for the inauguration of the 8th parliament, NPP MPs were greeted with shock as NDC MPs came in earlier than expected to take over the majority side of parliament.

In order to secure the right hand side position of the speaker of parliament which is believed to be the seat for the majority side of parliament, NPP MPs have acted in a similar way.

This time around, the newly sworn-in NPP MPs woke up at 3am, some earlier…. arrived at parliament not later than 4 am to occupy the majority side of parliament.

Though sitting and parliamentary business commences at exactly 10am today, the NPP MPs decided to go to parliament very early to see their dream come true – be the majority in parliament – at all cost.
