My Christian Faith is not Affected because I wear Earrings – Krymi

Ghanaians are well noted to be very Religious. As a result, most Christians are not permitted, per their values and beliefs,  to wear earrings in the case of men, and put on leg chains in the case of women , or have tattoos etc. Such people are therefore seen as ‘not Christian’ enough, and very ‘unholy’.

However, Ghanaian musician Krymi is of a diverse view, and believes wearing earrings doesn’t affect his faith and believe in God.

Speaking in an interview with Deloris Frimpong Manso on the Delay show, Krymi revealed that wearing locks and earrings doesn’t make him less of a Christian.

The highlife musician and ‘Dw3’ hitmaker, who worships at the Pentecost International Worship Centre explained that he usually takes off the earrings at the church premises to avoid confrontation with the old women in the church who would literally crucify him for wearing them.

“This doesn’t influence my Christianity in any way. I feel we are not used to guys wearing earrings. Some of the elderly people see it to be odd. Just so you don’t have that altercation between you and them, I take it out so that I don’t have any issues with them”, he noted.

He further made it to Delay that wearing of earrings was part of his brand as a Musician.

“My brand is the singer, to songwriter that has a soul and wants to bring the old school love to the new school love,” he said.
