More trouble for Rev Owusu Bempah as fresh police statement reveals how he ordered his church members to beat some officers

The arrest of Rev Owusu Bempah, the founder and leader of the Glorious Word And Power Ministry, has been confirmed by the Ghana Police Service.

According to a police statement, Rev Owusu Bempah was arrested after he allowed his church members to beat police officers who went to the church premises yesterday, September 12th, to arrest some of his guys who flashed guns on live television.

Some associate pastors of the NPP spiritual bulldozer threatened Nana Agradaa with firearms on live TV a few days earlier.

The police went to the church to arrest the man of God and his pastors yesterday, but they were assaulted after Owusu Bempah instructed his church members to physically attack them.

Three of the church members including Owusu Bempah were subsequently apprehended by the police. Michael Boateng, Frederick Ohene, and Nathaniel Agyekum were among the boys arrested alongside Rev Owusu Bempah.

According to a statement issued by the police, the man of God and his accomplices will be processed for court today, September 13th.

Meanwhile, police officers who were injured after being assaulted by the charged congregation have been hospitalized and are responding to treatment, according to reports.
