Kevin Prince Boateng Exposes CK Akonnor Over Black Stars Return

Ghanaian footballer Kevin-Prince Boateng has denied having a conversation with Black Stars coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor over a possible return to the team.

CK Akonnor on Tuesday after announcing his first squad for the double-header 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan was asked about the future of Boateng.

CK in an interview said: “For Prince Boateng, we spoke. I don’t think he wants to play for the Black Stars again. I don’t think so.”

However, Kevin has debunked the claims. He posted on Twitter; “No one ever tried talking to me”.

Boateng has not played for Black Stars since he was sacked from camp after allegedly insulting then coach Kwesi Appiah during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

The 32-year-old has been capped 15 times by Ghana, scoring two goals.
