Ghana’s Minister of Finance – Hon. Ken Ofori Attah has strikingly commended the #Fixthecountry protestors who for the past week, has called on the ruling NPP government to provide Ghanaians with better governance as Nana Addo promised prior to the elections.

In a press briefing on May 9, 2021, the minister stated that he has been following the healthy conversation among the youth on social media concerning their agenda of the Fix The Country Campaign and he was overwhelmed with the zeal that was used to prompt leaders that things are now very tough in the country.

He also added that the #Fixthecountry campaign is good way of calling on the government to grieve out their needs and demands as the youth of the country.

During the press briefing, Hon Ken Ofori Attah also noted that there are plans underway by the Nana Addo led administration to create over 200,000 jobs for the youths that will decrease the rate of unemployment in the country.

He also continued that, the government has been able to stand on its toes in the midst of global pandemic which broke down a lot of economies

For the 1st time in our 64yrs of nationhood, the govt had to tackle a severe health crisis and its ensuing partial lockdown to contain the spread of the virus and protect lives; this brought socio-economic activities to a virtual halt and that was also globally
