National Service Personnel have been asked to take mandatory leave due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
In a statement signed by Executive Director of the National Service Scheme (NSS), Mustapha Ussif and available to Gossips24.com, the action is the ensure the safety of service personnel nationwide.
All service personnel and other non-essential staff are to take mandatory paid leave effective Thursday, March 26, 2020.
In other news, government has confirmed 25 new cases of Coronavirus in the country. This brings to total, 52, the number of cases confirmed in the country.
The 25 new cases were confirmed among the 1,030 people who are under mandatory quarantine in the country after arriving at the Kotoka International Airport hours to the deadline for the closure of the country’s borders.
