The majority leader and minister of parliamentary affairs, Osei Kyei-Mensah Bonsu has announced to Parliament that the chairperson of the electoral commission will be in the house to explain how ready the commission is to conduct the 2020, December 7 elections.
Also, the Ministers of Interior and National security will also be invited to tell the house about the security measures put in place to ensure peaceful elections.
According to Haruna Iddrisu who is the minority leader of parliament, it has become necessary and timely for the electoral commission to appear before parliament since it has passed the stage of registration, exhibition and currently printing ballot papers.
He also urged the Interior Ministry to help the national security to deploy security persons ahead of the polls.
Mrs. Jean Mensah is expected in Parliament tomorrow, November 5 to brief the house on how ready it is for election 2020.
