Creative Ghanauan song-writer, Kofi Kinaata has finally broken his silence after Charterhouse crowned Kuami Eugene as the Artiste of the year at the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Kumasi-based Luv FM with DJ Reuben, Kofi Kinaata said Kuami Eugene knows very well that he (Kofi) is the ‘Artiste Of The Year’ irrespective of the fact that his name is not on the plaque as many had wished for.
According to the ‘Things Fall Apart’ singer, he had wanted to win every category he was nominated for hence he feels very disappointed after the Lynx Entertainment signee was announced as the 2020 VGMAs Artiste of The Year.
“I am the true Artiste Of The Year and I beleive he [Kuami Eugene] knows it. I know everybody knew I was going to win it and I was confident too. I actaully wanted to win everything and I am so disappointed for not having this one.
Majority of Ghanaians will say is Kofi Kinaata but aside the judges, anything can happen,” he told Dj Reuben.
