A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gabby Okyere Darko has come out to reveal that he is against the passing of the anti-gay bill in the country.
The bill which seeks to criminalize the act of people engaging in sexual acts with the same sex has been called out by Gabby Okyere as he called for their rights to be respected.
According to him, he is somebody that cherishes all that is good about our value systems, including tolerance, and would not call for the stop to what makes some people happy in the country.
Taking to Twitter to share his view he revealed that he is going to be bold enough to stand and support the legalization of LGBTQ+ in the country rather than passing a bill against it.
Reacting to the LGBTQ+ issue he posted on Twitter saying;
I am against the anti-gay bill & not shy to say so. I am a proud Ghanaian who cherishes all that is good about our value systems, including tolerance. And, I will defend the right of minorities everywhere. I have the courage and a sense of justice to disagree with the majority.
