Ghanaian musician, Becca has added her voice to the recent outburst of rape cases in Ghana and the rate at which teenagers and minors are always involved in statutory rape.
According to a definition on Wikipedia – in common law jurisdictions, statutory rape is nonforcible sexual activity in which one of the individuals is below the age of consent.
The singer has stated that men who are constantly involved in statutory rape are born monsters. Becca in an interview with Andy Dosty revealed that she is embarking on a campaign against Girl child marriages in Ghana, and hopes this brings an end to irrational growth of rape cases in Ghana.
The singer seemed to have brushed off the wild allegations her mom made against her recently to be in a positive mood for this particular interview as she told Andy Dosty that all rapists, including those who engage in statutory rape, are monsters.
“If I meet someone who engages in statutory rape, obviously, they are a monster. Also, I will tell them to imagine sleeping with their daughter”, she said.
