NDC Parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo has literally blamed the NPP for the woes of the people of West Legon (West Land) whenever there is a heavy downpour.
About four months ago, the renowned actor turned NDC Parliamentary candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, John Dumelo offered to dredge a big gutter at West Legon which is believed to be the major cause of the woes of the people whenever there is a heavy downpour.
He made the step on the back of a promise he made to the community when he paid a visit to assess the discomfort residents face whenever it rains.
However, John took to Twitter to state that the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly upon seeing the reports on social and traditional media ordered him to stop the project.
Months after the Assembly halted the project, the area has once again been affected by Saturday’s heavy downpour.
John once again visited the constituents within the area to look at how bad the situation is currently as he assured them of fixing it once he is given the power to lead them in parliament.
He blamed authorities for doing nothing to save the situation despite preventing him from dredging the gutters.
“How long can we continue to leave our West land people in this situation when it rains?When we attempted fixing this, we were stopped, yet those who stopped us are yet to do something about this in Ayawaso West. Take my word, I will fix this when elected! #changeiscoming #idey4u,” he said on his Instagram page.
