Kumi Guitar quits Music for Politics as he contests in NPP primaries in Akwatia

Ghanaian Highlife musician Nana Yaw Kumi popularly known for his music stage name as Kumi Guitar has taken a music break to kick start his political career ambitions.

Kumi Guitar who has been on the low for about a year after the collapse of his CEO’s company Menzgold, has looked in the path of politics and governance as he has launched his move to contest in the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) Primaries.

According to reports, the constituency seat in Akwatia where Kumi Guitar will be contesting is currently occupied by Mrs. Mercy Adu-Gyamfi popularly known as Ama Sey,
